LED Stage Lighting Upgrade

MOUNT TAMBORINE STATE HIGH SCHOOL

The team at PLS also performed a LED stage lighting upgrade of Mount Tamborine State High School’s Theatre space. Consequently, the staff and students were ecstatic with the upgrade as their arts night was coming up. Furthermore, they could showcase their brand-new equipment in a spectacular fashion (as seen in the photos below).

So, all existing traditional hot-light and dimmers were removed from the stage at the request of the school. They were keen to embrace new LED technology and also keep everything streamlined and simple for every occasion.

A full complement of ProShop Hex 7 LED fixtures now provides vibrant colour wash options both FOH and also over-stage. 5 x ProShop LED Cyc100 Fixtures provide strong colour intensity and coverage to the fabric cyclorama. This is mounted on a retractable stretch frame for a clean, taught surface. 5 x Chauvet Spot Intimidator 355Z IRC LED Profile Moving Lights and
2 x Chauvet Iimdator LED Zoom 450 Wash Moving Lights also provide areas of special focus on and off the stage. In addition, some great special effects to keep things interesting. A versatile Jands Vista Lighting Control System with M1 Fader Board and a Jands Power Distribution System add the finishing touches.

LED Stage Lighting and Audio

The Audio System has also been given an overhaul, relocating existing JBL Control 29 Speakers to Front of House positions. Also complemented by a small JBL Powered Subwoofer under-stage and a pair of JBL EON612 powered monitors. Sennheiser Evolution G3100 Series Wireless Microphones and Shure PG81 Condensor Microphones also now provide greater flexibility to live audio reinforcement.

Subsequently, the school decided to carry out an Audio-Visual Upgrade to provide strong theming for events. Furthermore this included brighter images onto screens left & right of stage. In addition, the introduction of a new on-stage installation projector provides backdrops. It also displays moving images onto the taut cyclorama cloth at the rear of stage. This system not only dramatically enhances aesthetics of the stage for presentation events. It also provides a myriad of opportunities for scene-setting at future performing arts showcases and drama productions. As a result, the school now boasts a dazzling, colourful and exciting stage to compliment their talented students.
